After making a hard decision to because of my mental health, I realized I am nowhere near ready to apply to PA school. I am currently working on getting volunteer hours, PCE, and getting my bachelor’s in biology. I am unsure when I should apply with CASPA. I am also unsure of the process and when each application cycle opens during the year. Any help is appreciated!

CASPA- the application portal opens every year in April!
I would advise your to deeply research several PA programs and create an excel sheet entailing the program requirements! This will help you stay organized within the application process! Make sure you apply to the school that aligns with your mission, GPA,and holistic experiences! Then, make a game plan on when you will be completing each of the prerequisites each semester so you stay on track!
