I’m a low GPA applicant, 3.4 cumulative and 3.16 science. I have tried to overcome that by volunteering at shelters where I live, taking on a teaching task at my job, and having a lot of PCE hours. In college I was a TA for cellular biology and have over 60 hours of shadowing a PA. I’m not sure what else I can do to help me become a better applicant. I got a C in microbiology and physiology, should I consider retaking those courses for the next cycle?

Thank you for your discussion!

I highly encourage you to retake those courses for next year cycle! Aim for excellence within those courses to show admissions that you are a resilient student. I would also encourage you to take on more science courses to combat your low GPA! Continue to obtain more PA shadowing hours as well!
